Profile

Carlijn specialises in resolving corporate disputes.

She focuses on company-law disputes, such as impaired shareholder relationships and dead-locks. Carlijn also represents (trapped) shareholders in squeeze-out and buy-out proceedings. Furthermore, she has extensive experience in conducting (urgent) inquiry proceedings at the Amsterdam Enterprise Chamber, which may include requests for the suspension and dismissal of directors and inquiries into potential mismanagement. Carlijn is also involved in corporate governance disputes, including faulty decision-making and impermissible dividend payments.

In addition, Carlijn is a specialist in the field of liability law. She acts on behalf of and against (supervisory) directors who are (threatened with) liability on the grounds of improper management and supervision. She also conducts proceedings in the field of misleading prospectuses and annual accounts. In these proceedings she acts both for individual parties and for (large) groups of bondholders and investors.

Previously, Carlijn worked as a legal counsel at a bank, as well as at the Public Prosecutor’s Office, where she was involved in complex (international) attachment proceedings.

Their innovative and forward-thinking mindset truly sets them apart.
